“Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve…. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
Homeschool Oklahoma depends on the dedication of people like you.
The mission of HSOK is to promote home education* in the state of Oklahoma through events, communications, and resources; to protect the God-given right of parents to direct the education of their children to the glory of God.
HSOK defines the terms ‘home education,’ ‘homeschooling,’ and ‘homeschoolers’ exclusively as the privately-funded, home-based education and discipleship of children by their own parents or guardians.
Are you looking for a rewarding service opportunity?
To continue promoting home education and defending your rights, Homeschool Oklahoma needs passionate, dedicated volunteers in many areas. Here are just a few:
- The Legislative Committee needs people to help with the Cookie Drop, Entertainment, Bill Reviews, and Alert Notices.
- The Support Group Committee plans and executes the Leadership Conference and appoints a Support Group Coordinator.
- The Administrative Committee seeks the advice and input of Lawyers, Insurance Agents, and Accountants.
- The Communication Committee needs consistent efforts from people willing to create graphics, write blog posts, newsletter text, and social media blurbs in order to promote events and equip and encourage homeschooling families.
- The Events Committee needs a large group of volunteers for Mentoring, Vendor Coordinators, Vendor Hospitality, Entrepreneurs, Art and Photo Contests, Media Coordinators and helpers, Audio-Visual/Sound, Registration Coordinators, Promotion Development, Attendee Bags, Hospitality, Keynote Speaker Liaison, and Computer Tech. These are not one-day volunteer positions, as serving at the convention is, nor do they require large amounts of time. The time investment ebbs and flows during specific times of the year.
You can make a difference in the lives of families across the state. Homeschool Oklahoma is made of dedicated, servant-hearted people who desire to help build a strong homeschool community in Oklahoma.
Thanks for your assistance!
